GENERAL SCOPE RESOLUTION
MH-DGA-RES-0055-2024
ON CHANGE IN TIME OF MANDATORY TECHNICAL NOTES.
GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF CUSTOMS. San José, at 11:47 a.m., on January 18, 2024.
THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR GENERAL OF CUSTOMS RESOLVES:
- Proceed to transfer the mandatory moments 1 and 2 to moment 5 which consists of: “Inspection prior to release, the obligation is a requirement that allows the acceptance of the DUA, but prevents the release, creating a hold in the DUA process and leaving it in a state called “pending release” with the acronym PEL, until the requirement is met”, of the Technical Notes whose regulatory entities are the State Phytosanitary Service, National Animal Health Service (SENASA) and the Ministry of Health, in all customs and for all customs regimes, associated with the tariff sections detailed in the Annex attached to this resolution.
- Informs declarants that if, at the time of registration and acceptance of the DUA, they already have the authorization for the technical note whose mandatory date is being changed, they may transmit it from the initial registration of the DUA or prior to its release.
- Customs Agencies and Agents, as well as other Public Service Auxiliaries, must update the Tariff Schedule they use.
